Raised in the wild beauty of Drake Bay, surrounded by jungle, rivers and the Pacific Ocean, he learned from nature long before he learned from books. Fishing, exploring, helping his family and spending every day outdoors shaped the way he sees Costa Rica today.
For years, Mario worked as a scuba instructor and divemaster in Playa del Coco, introducing visitors to the underwater world of Guanacaste. After an injury ended his diving career, he stayed where he belongs— on the ocean.
Today, he creates private boat tours, snorkeling adventures and custom land experiences, helping travelers discover both the iconic highlights and the hidden local places that most visitors never see.
